Sophie had a great first Halloween! We went to the pumpkin patch for a costumed birthday party, but were the only ones who dressed up! In Portland, my little ducky was reunited with her good friend Superman (baby Alex Campbell) at a harvest party. On Halloween we tromped through the snow with our other baby friends to go trick-or-treating. Sophie loved her Grandma Jack-o-lantern!

In May of 2006 I finally moved back to the motherland, after almost 5 years in Japan. The reverse culture shock is starting to fade,I no longer pull out onto the wrong side of the road, or bow to people in the supermarket. I am joined by my tiny doppleganger, Baby Sophia. The little angel amazes me with something new every day, frustrates me to no end, makes me roll on the floor laughing at least once a day, makes me want to cry about once a day (usually at 2am when sleep deprived), and has shown me unconditional love that I only hope I can live up to.

Absolute cuteness! I thought that was baby Alex. I'm so glad that you got to see them. And snow for Halloween!

You didn't tell me you dressed her up. She looks so cute and so does Alex as Superman. Can't wait to her and her mom in person.
