Last week Sophie and I went swimming for the 2nd time. Sophie LOVES kicking and splashing in the water! We didn't get any photos in the water (too focused on not drowning), but here are some from shore! The other baby is Sophie's best baby friend Madelena. We go walking with Madelena, her mother, and a couple other 'mommies' a few mornings a week. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

In May of 2006 I finally moved back to the motherland, after almost 5 years in Japan. The reverse culture shock is starting to fade,I no longer pull out onto the wrong side of the road, or bow to people in the supermarket. I am joined by my tiny doppleganger, Baby Sophia. The little angel amazes me with something new every day, frustrates me to no end, makes me roll on the floor laughing at least once a day, makes me want to cry about once a day (usually at 2am when sleep deprived), and has shown me unconditional love that I only hope I can live up to.

I wish I could go swimming with you two! I miss my little niece, and the hot days make me long for a swimming pool.

You wouldn't believe how humid it's been here. Loving the summer though, my cousin is over for the long weekend, I'm so happy to see her...Remember her? She asked about you. Well, hope everyone's well.

Sounds like you are going well. Walking, swimming, what else are you two up to?
Hope you have a chance to get a little "me" time Roxanna. Take care of yourself as well as Sophia wont you.
