In May of 2006 I finally moved back to the motherland, after almost 5 years in Japan. The reverse culture shock is starting to fade,I no longer pull out onto the wrong side of the road, or bow to people in the supermarket. I am joined by my tiny doppleganger, Baby Sophia. The little angel amazes me with something new every day, frustrates me to no end, makes me roll on the floor laughing at least once a day, makes me want to cry about once a day (usually at 2am when sleep deprived), and has shown me unconditional love that I only hope I can live up to.

Yay for the 1st tooth! Congrats Sophie! But please don't hurt your mommy, she loves you and wants to take care of you. Bite the teething ring and kiss and love on mommy. :)

Lyndon got me a slow, but working computer so I can visit! Good to talk to you last night. Mom likes the picture of Sophie with the wig. Weird how she looks exactly like your dad in the third new picture. Love, Naomi

Okay, I've held my tongue so far, but I've just got to say it.....How does squishing Sophie's cheeks together help to make her new tooth more visible????? I think you just did that for fun!
