We had a crazy snowstorm between Christmas and New Years. It came, it caused havoc in the city, and it all went away. Soph and I had fun building a beautiful snow lady. There was so much snow on the night that it snowed, Soph and I built snow people all over downtown Portland. It was fun, but next time it snows...we are going to stay home!

In May of 2006 I finally moved back to the motherland, after almost 5 years in Japan. The reverse culture shock is starting to fade,I no longer pull out onto the wrong side of the road, or bow to people in the supermarket. I am joined by my tiny doppleganger, Baby Sophia. The little angel amazes me with something new every day, frustrates me to no end, makes me roll on the floor laughing at least once a day, makes me want to cry about once a day (usually at 2am when sleep deprived), and has shown me unconditional love that I only hope I can live up to.
