We went to the pumpkin patch 3 times this fall. So much fun! Carving pumpkins was great. Soph didn't especially like getting her hands dirty with the seeds, and I don't either, so Troy got that fun job! Too bad the carved pumpkins molded and melted into the sidewalk within a week. We had to go back to the pumpkin patch to get more, and we left them au natural this time...

In May of 2006 I finally moved back to the motherland, after almost 5 years in Japan. The reverse culture shock is starting to fade,I no longer pull out onto the wrong side of the road, or bow to people in the supermarket. I am joined by my tiny doppleganger, Baby Sophia. The little angel amazes me with something new every day, frustrates me to no end, makes me roll on the floor laughing at least once a day, makes me want to cry about once a day (usually at 2am when sleep deprived), and has shown me unconditional love that I only hope I can live up to.
