Turkey Trot

I am a member of the gym down the street from my house. This afternoon they had a "Turkey Trot" in honor of Thanksgiving. The rules of the race were that the person who predicted their time for the run as the closest to their actual time would win a turkey. 2nd place in the race won a chicken and 3rd won a cornish game hen. So, because it sounded like fun to get out of the house on a Sunday afternoon I tried it, thinking how silly it was the entire time. You know what...silly or not...I won a turkey!!! I was only 24 seconds short of my predicted time. How exciting! Not to brag or anything, but I also had the FASTEST time among the 2 mile women as well.
